$12,000: Studying in French is worth it!

New Bachelor of Social Work : $5,000 Scholarships to First 10 Students

To celebrate the launch of its new Bachelor of Social Work program, the Université de l'Ontario français (UOF) is offering $5,000 scholarships to the first 10 people who enroll in the program. This new scholarship aims to encourage et value university studies by financial supporting those who continue their postseconday education in French. The scholarship valued at $5,000 will be credited against the student's first year tuition fees.

Requirements

To be eligible for this scholarships, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Be a Canadian citizen or Canadian permanent resident;
  • Enroll in the Bachelor of Social Work program for the Fall 2026 semester;
  • Continue full-time university studies at the UOF until obtaining a bachelor's degree or for a maximum of four years.

Application Process

  • Eligible students will automatically receive the scholarship. The Registrar's Office will be in direct contact via e-mail with eligible students. 

*Students in Ontario secondary schools who are on track to obtain an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent are not eligible for this scholarship as they will automatically receive the UOF Studies Scholarship (valued at $12,000 - see details below).

UOF Scholarship Valued at $12,000

The UOF promotes university studies in French by offering $12,000 scholarships to students from Ontario’s French-language high schools who enroll in one of its bachelor programs. The $12,000 scholarship is spread across the four years of study in the bachelor program of the student's choice.

Requirements

To be eligible for this scholarships, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Be enrolled in a French-language high school in Ontario;
  • Be on track to obtain an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD);
  • Enroll in one of the UOF bachelor's degree programs for the 2026 academic year;
  • Continue full-time university studies at the UOF until obtaining a bachelor's degree or for a maximum of four years.

Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) Scholarship, Worth $1,500

You automatically receive $1,500 if your studies in a French-language school in Ontario culminate in a diploma and the Majeure Haute Spécialisation (MHS) seal in one of our program sectors:

  • Affaires
  • Environnement
  • Justice, sécurité communautaire et services d'urgence
  • Santé et bien-être
  • Services à but non lucratif
  • Technologie de l'information et des communications

Your scholarship will be awarded in your bachelor's degree's first year and can be combined with either of the two other scholarships.

Scholarships for Postsecondary Studies in French as a Second Language
